Defibrillators
AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) devices are located at the Village Hall on Main Street and at the Cricket Club on Woolscott Road. In an emergency, Ambulance Control will provide the code to unlock the cabinet which has a push-button coded lock, so that anybody can gain access, if required.
Willoughby has a small group of volunteers, trained in basic first aid, CPR and use of an AED. Following a 999 call, where a patient may have had a cardiac arrest, Ambulance Control can trigger an automated telephone call-round service which will alert the village AED volunteers and ask one of them to offer assistance. Volunteers receive initial and refresher training, as required. For more information, contact Kim Taylor at kimtqhf@gmail.com
Community First Responders
The Rugby and Leam Valley Community First Responders (CFRs) are a group of volunteers who are trained by and work with West Midlands Ambulance Service giving up their free time to bridge the gap between a 999 call and the arrival of an ambulance. They cover the whole of Rugby and the surrounding villages within the CV21, CV22, CV23 postcodes.
GP Services
The NHS website has a ‘Find a GP’ option to help you choose a GP practice. If you do not have access to the internet, telephone NHS Direct on 0845 4647. This is a 24 hour telephone helpline, providing health information and advice.
Find a Dentist
As with GP practices, the NHS website above also has a dental practice finder.

The other provides a limited number of discretionary grants to help with personal expenditure such as spectacles, dentures and other specialist items.
